About
This project is a collection of aerial photographs taken around Lincolnshire, and captured by Trevor Morris using consumer drones.
I first started flying drones in the summer of 2017, when I purchased a small entry-level consumer drone; the DJI Spark. In September 2025, I upgraded to the newly released DJI Mini 5 Pro.
I love how these devices allow you to see and appreciate the world from not just great heights but a whole new perspective. I enjoy taking it to familiar places and seeing what new angles I can capture.
How this site is built…
The project is built using the static site generator 11ty. It uses WebC as the templating language. The design uses plain HTML, BEM-based CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript for progressive navigation behaviour.
The cursor icons are from Heroicons. The icons for Exposure Time, Aperture, Focal Length, Camera, and Flash are by Denis Klyuchnikov from Noun Project.
A few packages are used to build specific features. The EXIF data is pulled using the exifr package, and colorthief is used for the photo colour palette. BlurHash is used as photo placeholder during loading. The 360-degree photos use Pannellum, a lightweight WebGL panorama viewer. The carousel gallery is powered by Swiper. Google Maps is used to show the locations.
